Did a few searches and didnt see this question/topic covered anywhere. Im curious for us non-professional divers, how often do you service your equipment?

Its recommended to service regulators every year or after every 100 dives.

Its recommended to service your BCD annually, or as often as the manufacturer recommends.

Its recommended to change regulator hoses every five years of service or 500 dives.

Ive had my regs serviced twice in the last 4 years. I had my BCD serviced once in that time.

Does anyone just do their service themselves?

For regs, it difficult to do yourself. Sometimes, special tools are needed and you'll have trouble getting parts if you're not an authorized dealer.

I'm not sure what gets serviced in a BCD. Probably exercising valves and checking for leaks. I don't think there's much they can do that you can't. I don't know how difficult it is to get parts if you have a bad seal or o-ring.

Hoses are easy to replace and readily available at some dive shops.

For the record, I did PADIs equipment specialty where we took apart and reassembled a reg. I'll leave that to the pros. I've jerry-rigged seal fixes on my BCD and I've replaced hoses (that already had the fittings on each end) several times. Just need a wrench or two.

There are folks in the club that are instructors or have worked in a dive shop otherwise. They'll have more experience than me and may be able to say more.
